Digital Account Manager San Francisco, CA

The Role

We are looking for someone who is analytical, customer-focused, and goal-oriented to join our Growth Team as a Digital Account Manager.

In this role, you will be the primary contact and take full ownership of enterprise customer relationships. You will be responsible for directly solving multi-level customer issues, for helping our enterprise customers grow their active customer base, for providing marketing insights and training to those enterprise customers, and for bringing qualitative and quantitative customer insights to our developer team.


  • Own operational account management responsibilities:
    • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting for enterprise customers
    • Implementing and helping design user growth strategies for enterprise customers 
    • Providing information to customers to help them understand our products
    • Keeping in day-to-day contact with customers and enterprise representatives
  • Query, analyze, and report user engagement data from assigned regions.
  • Gather customer feedback and report it back to the product team.
  • Travel to enterprise customers for relationship building and to collect direct qualitative feedback.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to further enable Caterpillar businesses with digital products.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues with our digital products and escalate bugs and larger issues to our Quality Assurance team.


  • Four year degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
  • 2 plus years of data analysis experience in a professional environment with SQL, Excel, R, or a similar tool.
  • 2 plus years of professional customer-facing experience.


  • Analytical Education: a degree in an analytical field such as engineering, economics, math, law, or business.
  • Entrepreneurial streak: a drive to make things better and a strong sense of ownership and initiative, embracing change and moving fast.
  • Customer orientation: an ability to communicate in a simple, natural, honest, and kind way.
  • Passion for construction: a love of big machines and interacting with the men and women who build our world.
